Assessors

Newcastle University is the Assessment Partner for School-Led Network and the National Institute of Teaching. We have a team of assessors who mark submissions from across the country on all NPQ programmes.

All assessments are open book scenario-based tasks which are completed on a proforma and marked anonymously online on our Moodle platform. The answers address a school-improvement issue and are required to reflect understanding of the relevant programme contents and NPQ framework.

Assessors are expected to have experience of assessment, and relevant experience of school practice for the programme they are marking: anyone marking NPQH will need to have experience of headship, and anyone marking NPQEL will need experience of leading several schools, or equivalent experience.

If you are interested in becoming an NPQ assessor for Newcastle University we would be delighted to hear from you.
